Hi Beekeepers

We are looking for beekeepers that would be interested in receiving Spring and Autumn Apiguard treatments for 20 hives supplied free of charge. But wait! additional to this we will assess a sample of 300 bees from 25 of your colonies not once not twice but SIX times during the year and all FREE of CHARGE. If this sounds too good to be true...there are 3 catches. Please read on and see if you fit the requirements.


Artificial Insemination Course - March 2010

As part of the Varroa research being undertaken, Plant and Food Research will be running an artificial insemination course in March 2010. At present they are looking for expressions of interest.

Honey research

Peter Widmer is working on behalf of a project in Tanzania that works in collaboration with the Tanzanian Government (Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Marketing).

They're in the process of conducting a research project where they want to learn how honey (and other bee products, such as beeswax) from Tanzania compares to honeys from other origins.


Visiting beekeepers

Two Israelian (husband and wife) beekeepers have decided to spend their vacation this Year in New Zealand.

They own more than 1000 hives and a own honey boutique where they sell our products. They are interested in visiting some beekeepers over the New Year period.

They are arriving in Aukland on December 16th, 2009 and depart on mid January from Christchurch.
They intend to hire a car.


Business venture

Three individuals are looking to invest in NZ for beekeeping operations especially for producing Manuka honey and would like to find an appropriate partner in NZ.
