This bulletin was written as a ‘best practice’ guide for pipfruit
orchardists and beekeepers supplying hives for pipfruit pollination.

It describes the responsibilities of orchardists and beekeepers and
suggests minimum inclusions in hive supply contracts to protect both
orchardists and beekeepers.

How best to position hives within the orchard, minimum hive quality or
strength are also described.

A summary of the legal requirements as to bee toxicity warnings and plant pest and disease product labels is included.
